Hi guys and gals,
Customer is having a 3x8 DR5 and wants to add 2 paging horns for handling 2 paging zones, as the system can only connect to 1 paging zone, any recommendation for other than upgrading the 3x8? Thanks a lot!

This is not a 3x8 issue. On most if not all Nortel, you get a grand total of 1 zone...duh.
Get what you need from Valcom or other paging equipment companies for the extra zones.

To be a little more specific.
The Valcom 9940 will connect to an ata and let you dial an ext to page over loud speakers.
The Valcom 2003A is a multizone paging unit.
If you need any assistance on picking the correct unit give valcom a call and there technical support will help you design what you need. Just tell them what you want it to do with what.

I don't believe an ATA supports dtmf pass through. You need a VMI or use a CO port.
