So I got a KIM plugged into my T7316E handset and when I try adding internal extensions to it, I get an 'Not a valid DN' msg. My T7316e sits on a DN range of 3xxx , the autodial I want to add starts with a 4xxx. I don't recall this being a problem in the past? I also tried setting it up as an External Autodial using Pool O which is my trunks between the office and entering the 'External #' with the 4 digit ext. It accepts the value but when I hit the button I get the famous sound for a non completed call. Any ideas?

How were you trying to program the KIM if not using F* codes?

Have you attached KIM1 to Ext.3xxx in system Program? make sure you did. Do you have T1 Point to Point between offices? If yes, then you have another office with 4xxx range. Is that correct? Then in System Programming make sure you have r'd # length set to 4 and DN length equal 4. In Services set up Routing # with 4*** and assign Pool O to that. You will be fine.
