Had a new KSU with new software and could not make the ATA port on the system provide dialtone. You can hear talk battery, but no dialtone. Grabbed another KSU and software from the shop and had the same issue. Looked on the wiring diagram and it is still on the same port as it always was. ????? Also anyone know why they put the toggle switch on the new CIC's now?

Rusty please delete your post. It is inflamatory and inapropriate.
Nickels... I've seen 7.x take a very long time to fully boot the first time through.

If you are an Austin Powers fan, you would have got the joke. Marv, how long? The first time the CIC's was on the wall for at least 1hr, maybe even 2.

I realize it is said jest, but there are almost 13,000 members on this board, we need to stay PC in the open forum.
I've plugged in a CICS and went for lunch while waiting for it to completely boot.

Nickels: Maybe the key word that Marv is saying is the word, "Completely". But to be honest, Most CICS'c that I have seen will boot and are operational in 10-20 min. (unless it is the very first time). Don't know why the internal ATA would take that much longer. There is always the exception. Has it continued to work after that?? If it works - don't fix it.

UPDATE:
It was the one KSU, I swapped KSU's, using same software and Trunk card, all was fine. ATA actually started working within 2-5 minutes of power up, before I did the startup. Must have a bad KSU.
Also, Anyonw notice what looks to be a reset button no on the new KSU's? I meant to try it before removing bad KSU, but I forgot EH!
