We've been having an outgoing issue w/ one of our sites w/ the voicemail light for extension ###. We have a BCM400 w/ 3.5 running, phone in question is a 7208. The vm light stays lit on the phone all the time. There is no voicemail box set up for that extension which is the perplexing part.

I've tried creating a mailbox, having the user set it up, leave a message --> delete the message --> delete the mailbox, same.

I've tried simply unplugging and reconnecting the phone (sometimes works at my location w/ our BCM).

I've power cycled the BCM for other reasons, crossed my fingers that it would also resolve this, no luck.

I've forwarded calls on busy and no answer to the receptionist, power cycled phone to the same result.

Just had someone plug another phone into the same location to rule the phone out, light came on.

I haven't gotten a chance to go on site to check any of the wiring from the jack to the wiring room yet, hoping that it might be a software issue that I can resolve from here. Are there any settings I can check that might be able to point me in the right direction.

Sounds like someone did Feature 1 (Send message) to that phone so it is not a voice mail. I believe you can check where the message came from by doing F65.

Can that message be checked then and deleted? I believe I asked the EU to try to access the VM, even though I knew no box existed. Came back w/ an invalid feature if I remember correctly.

Just clear the message by entering F#65. When it deletes it, it will show who sent the message.

Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol

Yep, that did it. Wish I had found this a month ago. Thanks.
