Have a MICS 6.1 that I am going to buy an expansion card for. Any advantage to using a 6 port fibre card versus a 6 port copper card other than price. Only thing I can see right now is the ASM needs a fibre card. Have access to both copper and fibre trunks and station expansion cabinets. Thanks

Some older copper expansion modules will not work on a MICS. Stick with fibre.

the copper expansion is for the 8x24 and will not work for the mics. you will need to buy a fiber expansion card.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Book says it will work in slot 2 but I will go with your advice Marv. At least with the fibre I can use the ASM expansion cabinet that is sitting around doing nothing. Can get rid of the three ATA's. Now to look for a good deal on a 6 port fibre card
