Just a couple of quick questions that I'd like to verify the answers on before making any changes (system is a BCM400 w/ version 3.5):

I've found the location where you specify the "On Hold" Tone or music, but what are the choices for the music that is played throughout the system. I see a setting for IP Music that has a choice of an audio jack, bcmamp or network device. Can I import an audio file and then use the bcmamp to play it as the old hold music or would I have to use the audio jack.

Second question: If I wanted to make all the lines appear on the CAP/KIM unit attached to a phone can I simply go to the handset and program the buttons? I see if I choose a "Feature" I have the options of Line Pool (F64) or Voice Call (F66). Would either work or would the later be more correct if multiple pools have been set up? Basically I want it so that all incoming lines will ring on a phone or 2 that have the CAP, the remaining phones would only have the pooled lines to dial out on.

I was under the impression that on a BCM if you had 4.0 software you could either download music to it and it will play that and there is a streaming setting. I am yet the play with the streaming setting, but as for the download, it works ok. Most of our customers are just connecting MP3 players or Siruis Satelite radio via the audio jack, as they are not on 4.0 software or MIC's.
If you were to program the lines to appear and ring, program them to the set and what you have on the set to the KIM or CAP. And as long as the lines are in pool A and sets primed to pool A you should be set.

Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol

Thanks Nickels. We're looking into options for the MOH since we're at version 3.5 of the software; most likely getting an add on box that can plug into the audio jack.

As for the extra lines we went with using I/C keys since all the lines are in a pool and the director decided Tuesday morning that she wants the AA to pick up and transfer calls to the receptionists (2 different 7316 w/ a CAP each in different locations in the building). Figured we had to do it that way if the AA is answering the lines since we'd never know what lines the transferred call would be coming in on.
