I have a MICS 4.1 and want to upgrade to 7.1. To do this I have heard that I will need to upgrade to 6.1 first then to 7.1. Is this true?

For 7.1 you need an NVRAM-2. What I have done is:
1. Power down and put in NVRAM-2 and original 4.1 software cartridge. Power up. 2. Power down and insert MICS Upgrade Tool. When it says to, power down. 3. Insert 7.0 Upgrade Tool. Power up. 4. When time & date are displayed, power down and insert 7.1 software cartridge.
Never had a problem upgrading this way.

Thanks, for your assistance. If I actually have the customers permission to go ahead with the upgrade I will let you know how it goes.
