Client I haven't seen in a few years with two different companies and one receptionist. They say I have target lines for each company with distinct ring tones. They want to add a third company/ ring tone. Software is 5.0 or 5.1. Is this doable?

The system does not support distinctive ring. I ran into this on a CICS 7.0.

Are they talking ring tones on a per set basis or per line basis? Or Distinctive ring from the telco for a second number on the same line?
Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol

Never mind about my reply. I was referring to distinctive ring when you have 1 line with 2 numbers.

1 Line, 2 numbers we install SR2's for those applications. But I think you are talking about different ring tones on the same set, different line?

Dunno how they were doing this on ver 5 or 5.1 software. I was pretty sure this feature didn't come out until ver 6.1.

Distinctive ring on lines came out with 6.0 software. You may want to visit the site to check it out to verify the sofware level just to be sure. I don't know how it could have been accomplished with 5.0 software.
