Norel is working on the 7406 weird issues and will hopefully come out with something that fixes these issues on a newer version.
Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol

Nortel just rls a bulliten for a stop shipment on these phones and this problem was one of the reasons. Dated May 17, 2007
Problem Description
The Business Series Terminal T7406 cordless product has been placed on stop shipment. This is as a result of concerns over recent reports of a product performance issue related to loss of link between the base station and the handsets within 1 hour of installing the product. The handset will go into scanning mode and will not recover from this mode.
Nortel* continues to investigate the problem and impact and will provide an update when available.
