New feature for Version 7.1 • Extended DST rules begin in March 2007. Daylight Savings Time is extended by four weeks from the second Sunday of March to end on the first Sunday of November. The options under AutoDS Time have changed to reflect these new rules. Now the settings are Std (standard), Extd (extended), or None.

And the customer $ for this upgrade, not counting labor and trip is ? (Probably not worth going from 7.0 to 7.1) John C.

You mean customers are not willing to pay all that money, just so they don't have to change the time manually, 4 times a year??
If CON is the opposite of PRO Then what is the opposite of Progress?

A lot of ours don't care enough to ask how to change it spring and fall. And we fax them easy instructions, N/C! Which they lose, that's why we fax instructions Spring and fall. I love gullible customers tho. Try this one on. Back when RIAA was hot on suing if you didn't pay to use whatever artist/radio station, I was installing the Intertel 820. (1982?) There are 2 tunes that are not copyrighted. Home on the range, and Greensleeves. Intertel had these in the cabinet. Told em it was Greensleeves 11 months of the year and changed to 'What child is this?' during December. Which it did with no help. SAME MELODY! But most people didn't realize this and were SO impressed with their new ELECTRONIC key system. John C.

The TIE equipment of that era had a mechanical Swiss music box playing next to a microphone, which was amplified and applied as MOH.

TerryS, as a certified 308, 516, and 2040/3060 TIE installer, I'm here to tell you, it was a nickleodian, not a music box, and it was the size of a grand piano! And the 2040/3060 power supply weighed 100 pounds and put out + and - 25 volts DC at 10 amps! No regulation or anything fancy, just BRUTE capacitance to filter the output. Swear those caps were the size of a 1 pound coffee can, all 4 of them! I used one for a resistance soldering power supply, after the systems started to get traded in. Wish I could lay my hands on one now, would make a great model train power source! John C.
