Hello all!
We have a Norstar phone system and one of the users forgot her Voicemail password. I went in to the administration options and reset but when she enters the default, it still says invalid password. Now she's at the point where the mailbox is locked. I thought a reset would solve the issue but no matter what we do it still says mailbox locked. I had her try and access her VM from another phone, she was able to get in but it had her record her name and there were no messages when her phone says she has messages. To make matters worse, now somehow the admin password isn't working when I try to get back into Feature 983 -- Please advise how to fix...

 To clear a locked mailbox, the password for that mailbox must be reset. However, you are no longer able to access the admin functions because that password has been changed. Because of the TOS of the web site, the procedure to reset the admin password cannot be posted in the open forum. I suggest you contact a dealer in your area.

About a week ago I had the same problem. The answer was easy. MB had different extension number that the owner's ext. Because it was configured to 200 MBxes I waisted 2 hours to find out the problem. So let say MB 635 had an ext.200 and nobody could reset the password because of one idiot.
I betcha this is the same problem.

As far as the passwords go I agree with Telemarv, but if you do have the Call Pilot CD's everthing is explained in ther.

Where can I get a Call Pilot CD? I have the same problem the admin password does not work. I can not find a dealer around here to help me-is there some other way to resolve this problem. Can you email me the instructions to my email [email protected]? Thank you.
