this is on a nam
everything's going great keycode successfully installed desktop client software installed nic card functional ram okay
however the nam comes up with a funky ip address and we need to change it
how does one change the ip address in the nam
it is one of the first prompts in the desktop messaging software set up
it's one of these gigs you only do once every 10 years
thanks for pondering this

I,ve never work with NAM on Unified Messaging before. I thought it is only on CP 100-150. But I think it is the same way to change IP address by plug in Hyperterminal to sirial port and watch Boot up process. Instarction has to be in Documantation.

thanks vad60
after a late night of research it appears that when a client buys a used nam sometimes the reseller cleans it up so well the ip defaults.
we are going to be at the hyperterminal point shortly
the client is going to issue an ip address to use and i have my fingers crossed
by the way the nam has the capability to do desktop messaging through seat licenses (not 2 free like these days) and the software that is on the cd
thanks for taking the time to respond thanks
