HELLO all Guys & Gals, I am totally new to this forum. So, forgive me if there is some mistake.

I have one nortel 11C with one E1 line for outgoing calls . The problems is , when someone want to make out calls he/she has to wait at least 30-40 sec to mature a call. maximun times after waiting 30-40 sec its shows RELASE AND TRY AGAIN ( in IPphone & Digital phone ) and Beep sound ( in Analog Phone).

Please give me suggestion regarding this matter.

Thanks & Regards

I assume an E1 is the same as a T1. If you access LD 60 and stat the card what do the trunks show? Is this E1 for all calls or just site to site?

Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol

Sounds like not all channels are functional. I'd do E1/T1 stat like Nickels suggested.

There are 24 channels alloted for the outbound calls . I checked all the 24 channel & found that all channels were functional.

There were four outbound agents simultaneously making out calls , I checked the channels in Ld 60 & found that when they sucessfuly making out calls, then hardly 3 -4 channels were busy.No LOCK out is there in the channels.

Thanks & Regards

I don't know anything about Opt 11C BUT You must see 30 channels not 24 if you have E1. If you see only 24 that is the problem. Your card set up as a T1 type instead of E1, I guess, that is why you are waiting so long cause system starts from last channel(Descanding order). Its take awhile b4 system realize that 6 channels are not functional. Try to change outgoing order to Ascending, if system has that Capabilities, and see result.

Amiru,

Please revist your connectivity, i think you will find the problem is in the conversion from E1 to T1. I suspect there is an signalling adapter that is sitting in front of the Option doing the conversion. If this is the case change the programming there, or better yet remove it and buy an E1 card for the option.

As stated before... if you are only seeing 24 channels available.. there's your problem right there... Running an E1 on DS1 (T1) hardware.
There should be a card you can swap out to perform proper signaling with an E1 circuit (and the extra 6 channels)

That is not the problem this is done all the time. If configured properly it should be pretty seamless. What i think is happening is that the "time out" on the signaling adapter (RAD, or Encore Networks) is set for 30-45 seconds by default. So once it receives the digits from the option there’s another wait period before sending to telco. I usually set the adapter to 1 second, knowing the switch is already handling this “time out”.
