What is the most painless way to upgrade this? I'm adding a second 6 port expander in the KSU and am assuming when I install the software and power up I will have lost all the programming. There are about 80 digital phones, PRI, and a CP150 with Call Center and more on this sytem. Reprogramming manually the only option? Say it aint so.

That post helps; somewhat incomplete because I will be going from 6.1 (standard) to 7.1 XC and not 7.0 XC like in the posts. Maybe the same pattern still. Another tech told me that as long as I do not add any hardware but just upgrade the software first I 'should' not lose any programming. Thanks - any other replies much appreciatted.

Should be no issue. But as always in any software upgrade back up fisrt in case you have to go back Have your PRI keycode handy and always upgrade software BEFORE adding hardware.
Welcome back Marty.
