I'm fairly new to this site, but from what I’ve read it seems to have some good chatter on it.
My question is: What are some of the favorite systems you work with, as far as ease of installation, reliability and the users ease of operation.
I've liked the Nortel systems and good old reliable 1-A2. I have a dislike for Comdial, they where fine when they where Stromberg-Carlson. I had a Hotel that I had put an Inn-Touch system in; I spent the next six months replacing phones, I think we had about a 40% failure rate. They where all warranties, but generated a lot of unnecessary trouble calls.
I've been working in C.O.'s the last decade or so and am finding more work in the field at customer prems, so I thought tapping into some your expert knowledge in the field would be a good idea. Any opinions on systems would be greatly appreciated
Thanks for reading. sc

Well I would say the top two are Avaya and Nortel, Depending on the system it varies as to how friendly they are to the installer and end user. The small Avaya and Nortel are allot more friendly then the larger systems obviously. As far as Comdial, they make a strong KSU but you are right about the telephones of the past, we use to have many that just wear out to fast because of the way they made the button contacts. However I do understand that the DX80 is quite reliable. Telrad makes a very strong Family of systems and phones, can't remember the last failure that was unrelated to the user. I personally sell the Avaya Partner for small offices and the Telrad Digital for the large offices.
I'm sure you are going to find that each moderator in each category is going to tell you the good points about the system's they work and sell as well, I have worked on almost all the brands and really have no extreme dislike for any of them, most of the terrible ones have gone by the way side by now.
So I guess what I'm telling you is you should learn as many different makes as you can.

I really like the Iwatsu ADIX and ADIX VS systems and the Inter-Tel Axxess. I have worked with these systems several times, the ADIX VS is very easy to install which is a major benefit.
