Just got a new laptop Lenovo T60 has no com ports just USB It came with a USB Serial Parallel Adapter to give me a com port. Problem is when I use Norstar programming tools to do a backup with a fastRad there is only an option for hooking up to com ports. I have tried all the com ports and get a message "could not open com port ? Port not supported" Has anyone had this problem. I don't know if Nortel makes a FastRad USB Thanks Rik | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 117 Member | OP Member Joined: May 2006 Posts: 117 | Never mind I figured it out You have to go into device manager and under ports then look for "USB to Serial Comm Port" nex to this it will have a com port You have to use this one Thanks | | | Forums96 Topics94,274 Posts638,991 Members49,424 | Most Online5,661 May 23rd, 2018 | |
