OK, like I said, Ill go in there today and talk to these people, they had been claiming that previously they could actually see the words,Line 001, etc.. on the display when line was ringing. But if you say that cant be possible w/o caller id, Im going w/that. Thank you for evrything.

I believe the ONLY way that they would have seen that is if it was programmed before for CLID, but without the signal from the LEC +/or the M8 attached, maybe THEN you'd see that.
If that's the case, it would only be for the one phone/line unless it goes to VM 1st.
