All 5 lines in this system appear and ring at 2 sets at the front desk area. One of the sets in an office (with no line appearances)will get a ring or two via the inctercom path when line 3 receives an incoming call. Then it stops ringing on that set, while continuing to ring at the 2 sets that are supposed to ring. I don't think it does this on any other line or set.

This business moved this system from their previous location, where they had target lines and a couple of businesses sharing the bcm. I went through everything and removed what referred to things that are no longer available, moved lines into one pool, etc.

But it still does the one or two rings on this set. Any ideas why?

Thanks.
Jim

I looked at the hunt groups. There were 2 and I removed the sets and lines from each group. Now I get 1 1/2 rings on line 3, then nothing - no ringing, no visual indication. Caller continues to hear ringing. If I pick up the receiver for line 3, I'm connected and can talk! This seems to be happening on lines 3, 4 and 5. Lines 1 and 2 are ok.

All lines are programmed to Appear and Ring on two sets. Why don't these lines keep ringing? What is 'intercepting' them? There is no auto attendant set.

Thanks!

That is what I did OB1! From my cell I continue to hear ringing. Standing next to the phone with line appearances on it, the phone rings 1 1/2 times, then silence. If I pick up the receiver I can talk to my cell.

Ring groups?

DRT?

Otherwise, move phone to new port, re-dn and re-program.

Make sure auto-relocate is turned off.

Well, I think it might have been a combination of things, incuding my ignorance on bcm hunt groups, etc. I believe there was a bad lightning protection module that was cutting down the ringing. And I think I got all references to hunt groups out of there. When I left it was working smile

Thanks for the help.
Jim
