I have a customer that had 6 lines originally. They called us to add two more into their system. I went out to add the lines and found that the port for line 32(line 6) was bad. I confirmed this by swapping the cards and the problem followed the card. The two cards are NT7B75AAAE cards. So we got them a new card a NT7B75AAAG. I went out to replace the bad card, only to find out that the same thing was happening on the same port on the new card. That line is shorted out, you can press the line key and hear the message saying if you would like to make a call please hang up and try again. The line remains locked up until I pull the bridge clips. Now if I swap the cards the problem follows the card. I figured that it was just a bad card from the distributor, so we got a different card from them another NT7B75AAAG and I tried again, only to have the same problem happen again! I am being told that the G card should not have any problem on the system. Has anyone had this problem before? I really do not want to go out again until I can get it right. Also the customer wants to know if I can turn MOH off on the two lines that I am going to add? They are for a different company. I didnt think you could, but its worth a shot here. thanks for any help

Sounds like the cabinet might have an issue. I have not heard of this problem before. And as far as the MOH, you can only have one.

If it followed the card as you say, it's unlikely the MICS. Haven't used that model yet, but aren't there dip switches on it? If so, are they set right?
I'd try again with an older NT5B41GA or GB card....just in case.
MOH is a choice of 2....take it or leave it (for all lines).
Please keep us posted on the outcome. Good luck.

Might be the amphenol.
Dip switches are set in regards to the country code and the profile set in the MICS. Out of the box, should be set to NA, i believe all - 0.

If it was the amphenol, it shouldn't have followed the card.

It's sounds like the cabinet is blowing the card port. The port blows when you put the card in. Look for bent pins in the cabinet slot. Otherwise change the cabinet.

I solved the problem. I took a DS card out today, and put it in, the same thing happened. So I figured that the CI card in slot 1 was the only constant still there, I replaced that card with a new CI card and kept the other CI card in slot 2. Booted and it works perfectly. I have never heard or saw one card prevent another from fully working like that. Chalk it up to experience I guess
