ok so heres what i found out i have a 1.1 here and i tried it and it allows for 2 digit dns i dont have a 2.0 to try but i know that 3.0 and above do not have 2 digit dns. thanx to everyone who responded.

Interesting mis print in the 6.1 documentation.
The installer manual says 3-7 digits. The programming record sheets say 2-7.
When I 1st posted I was looking at the programming record. I now stand corrected. When the MICS programming interface changed (Terminals and Sets from Line Access) so did minimum DN length from 2 to 3.
