Customer has a MICS 7.1 that they want to have all the lines appear on all the phones. (7316)It only rings at front desk. After 3 rings, they want it to start ringing at a group of phones. It appears from tests my boss made that the lines must be removed from that group of phones before it will ring them as stated above. They are set on having the lines on their phones so they can say "Hey Jeff, call on line 3" There must be a way to make this happen. Thank s for any help.

Use 2 hunt groups.
1st HG A&R on the reception phone. The HG overflow for the 1st HG would be the 2nd HG. The 2nd HG A&R on all the secondary phones. You shouldn't need to remove the appearance of the lines from the phones.

They have 10 or 11(not there right now to verify) on the phones and they are on a T1.
Telemarv, on the first HG I would assign the lines to the HG, correct? But not to HG2. How many calls will the recep be able to recieve? And will she be able to distingish which line the call came in on?

We just tried it at the customer site with 2 HG's. It works fine if the lines are not on the phone, but the minute we add even one line, it stops ringing. Any ideas?

Try changing "Answerkey to "Enhanced". If that doesn't work....
You can do it the old fashioned way... CFNA to a 7100 in the closet. ANS DN of that 7100 on all phones of the secondary group.
It might be time to re-educate the client with park and page feature. Instead of "John pick up lnee 2", It'll be "John pick up 101".
Not a big stretch. And it frees up a bunch of buttons for other uses.
It's your job as the professional telecom guru to educate.

I will try that, thanks for the help. We tried to explain and sell both a screened transfer and call park, but they aren't budging on this one for some reason.
