Client has a MICS 5.1 with a digital set in a warehouse area. He wanted to swap out the T7208 for a cordless phone. I installed an ATA and put in a cordless phone. It works well, but now he would like to have both. My dilemma is this: How can I give him one extension to call, ring both the 7208 and the cordless phone, but have an unanswered call end up in the mailbox of the 7208?

just program an answer dn of the 7208 extension
on the cordless.that way when a call goes to the 7208 the cordless will ring as well and go to the mb of the 7208 if not answered

You can't put an "ANS DN" on a cordless, but you can do it the other way around.

Try CFNA on cordless off. On for the M7208 to VM.

-Ans DN of cordless on the 7208

-Voice mail on 7208 CFNA'ed to voice mail, NO voice mail cordless.

-All calls are sent to the cordless (AA and live transfer). If unanswered the voice mail of 7208 will take the message.

- Make sure the transfer recall timer is LONGER than than the CFNA timer of the 7208.
