Yes, you're right. I got them reprogrammed the way I want them. I just needed the HF to function. And removing one of the Intercom buttons did it. Thanks.

You didn't have to remove an intercom just to get handsfree. If you had 2 I/C buttons, when you add the Handsfree, the IC buttons will move UP and delete whatever feature was the third button up. So don't think you have to do without 2 IC's unless you want to.

I did have the 2/IC's on. It did not add the Handsfree button. So when I removed one it came on.

It depends on what is on the phone, line appearances, HG, ANS DN, IC buttons will all try to bump the HF button if they don't have room.

It would not bump them. So I just set the intercom button for one (1). Then the Handsfree appeared. Only reason I believe the 2/IC's are there is for internal conferencing on the intercoms.

There are other reasons for having more than 1 Intercom button, such as line pools, etc.

Keep in mind that Line Appearances always has priority, then Intercom, then Handsfree. Other features & options are last on the list, if room still permits.

Depending on HOW you use your lines, you may not need to have them appear at all.

For example, if you have your lines in pools, then program a Line Pool button for each Pool, then you wouldn't need so many places taken for lines.

I usually only do this for systems with multiple lines, and where the client wants more buttons for various other features, etc. But, I have also done this on 3x8 systems, where the client was too mcheap to spend the extra few $$$ for a M7310 for example.
