Have a customer on a MICS with PRI and 6.1 software.

They want to call forward their main number to a 1800 answering service.

I tried to do a forward on the main set, but can only do it to local numbers.

All restrictions are open as wellas remote restrictions.

The only way around it waas a redirect on this set.

Any ideaas as to why I can't forward to the 1800 number?????

If you can dial 9 & the 1800 number on a phone, there should be no reason why you cant forward a phone to the 1800 number. Can you forward the phone with the main number on it to LD numbers? What happens when you press the Call Forward feature, press 9 (or 8, etc...) and enter the 1800 number?

welcome
Let's start with how are you forwarding?

A telco access code or are you using a route and destinataion code?

Have route 001 set up to access PRI A with the destination code 9

I am forwarding the main ringing set to
a 1800 number.

When I put 918002777777(for example) as the forwarding number, I get FWD# in the bottom right side of the display and the forward doesn't take. Local number takes fine.

This may sound like a dumb question, but I've often found I look over the dumb stuff because I'm too "smart" to have missed it.

From the main set, can you press 9 and dial the 1800 number?

No such thing as a dumb question in this industry

No problem dialling the 800 number
