Have a customer that has 5 ata's that FOB & FNA to each other. Senario - Calls are answered by AA and they press 1 for parts. It rings the first ata (ext 232), which has FOB to 233 and FNA 10 rings to 233. The parts dept puts ans dn's for the ata's on their phones, which has worked for years. Whats happening now is, you press 1 in the AA and extension 232 rings 5 times and you are put on hold and then extension 233 starts ringing. Again the FNA rings are 10 and it has been working fine for years. My first question was, how is it getting put on hold, its an ATA? I know what everyone is going to say for the ultimate answer, upgrade and use Hunt Groups, but its not in their budget. Any help would be great.

Have you tried swapping ata's? See if you can isolate one that may have gone bad? Also, try switching phones, maybe it's a phone issue. I always eliminate the obvious before digging deeper. Many a "phone problem" has been fixed by replacing a line cord.

What are your transfer recall time and DRT settings?

I'm not sure about the recall time & DRT settings. I had my tech reset all the ATA's and phones. I also tried calling the 2nd ATA in the group of ATA's and the problem still exists. The odd thing about this problem is, there are 3 other groups of ATA's with the same FOB & FNA settings and the problem still exists.
