I've read a few answers on the forum but does not seem to give a direct answer. System is a BCM 50. Phones are 7316e. I've set up a button with the VMT (F986). When testing call comes in. Operator press VMT button and a internal extension button. Now, it rings the extension I've set up for CFNA (2 Rings) and goes into the voice mail after 2 rings. How can or if I can have it go directly to the voice mail without the ring?

Do your mailbox numbers match your extension numbers?
F986 + mailbox number should send a call directly to the mailbox.
Make sure you're NOT placing the call on hold first.

Sorry, I missed the fact that the Operator was pressing the extension button...you can't do that. You have to DIAL the mailbox number.

I had set it up that way originally and I thought it would be easier to program a button internally for the extension. Understood. Must use the VMT and dial the extension. Thanks Mr. BCM Guy...
