I have a customer that is using a Call Pilot with a General Mailbox which dumps a voicemail into an extension which a lot of times to be honest never get's checked. Is there a way to dump/redirect this voicemail into someone elses extension and have them be alerted that they have a new message? Thanks in advance!!!

You can try the alternate extension field in the CP. Check it out in the DOC's and see if it will work for you.

General MB is hard coded into CP. The only you can do is Disable it and create a MB that is going to be a General one. Then in Ext. field put ext.number that is going to have MW indication but don't have personal MB. In the Company Greeting tell the customer what to dial to leave a Message in general delivery MB or Create a Tree and assign a number which is going to send client into that MB.

You can use external message notification and have the GDM call a DN when a message is left.

When I have setup Message Notification to call an EXT rather than a phone number, the system (CICS R7 with CP 100) calls EXT but someone has to be at the Ext to get the call. No message is left at the Ext which has a vmail box with its own Msg Notification setup to call a cell phone. Is there a way to make this happen?
