HI! I have a new customer with a Nortel Meridian , i'm not sure what version yet as i haven not got to the sight yet. HE Has 5 C.O. Trunks , no voicemail system, he wants all 5 incoming calls to be recorded, I don't think this is legal with out the people on the line aware of the line being monitored. IS there a decent product available that can record just incoming calls (5), and maybe hooked to is computer for viewing. Thanks eek :shrug:

As for the legality of it, the way I understand the laws here in Canada is that you can record any conversation as long as at least one of the parties involved knows they are being recorded.

Sounds like the standard rule in the states as well.

Actually, in the USA, many states are 1-party and some others are 2-party, such as California.

I heard that in Arizona, no party consent is required for the person owning telephone service to record calls.

Ahhh, My fave recording is, "this call may be recorded for training purposes" well, well, well, I was on hold for 48 mins the first time I called then I got disconnected, then when I called back, I was only on hold for 14 mins b4 I got disconnected, Now I FINALY have a person on the line and they want to use what I say for training? NOT!!!
