I need to set up an extension to forward a call to a user's cell phone after 3 rings. Call forward only seems to send calls to another extension inside, and line redirect sends all calls coming in on that line to an outside phone. What I need is to send all calls coming to that extension to an outside line. Anyone know how to do this trick ?

This has been answered many times. Do a search on the subject. It really depends on what you are using POTS lines or PRI.

Your DN will have to allow redirect before you can do a call forward external

actually, telemarv, it has only been addressed about 5 times, and the information given doesn't seem to be working here.
I have MICS 7.0 system with POTS lines.
The extension has call redirect sey to Y under Capabilities.
Under Services/Routing Service/Routes, I can see Rte000, which has DialOut:No numbr, but there is no soft button to change that.
I can change Rte001, but I don't know what number belongs in there. That route is assigned to PoolA. I also don't see where to add a Destination Code.
If I press Feature 4 at the extension, it asks for a number, but if I type in 9 or 1, it says 'invalid number'.
Line pools have no access number assigned External Code is also set to none
anybody know what's missing here ?

If you go to Service/Routing service/Rout pres right arrow key one more time and you will see Destination code. F4 will Forward your call immidiately not on delay. You cann't change Rout 000.

You need to set up a new new route then have a route destinaion code set up for it. When you set forwarding use the dest. # and the phone number and press okay. Any lines that are set up to ring on the ext. will be forwarded!

Also if you want to set it to ring after 3 rings you need to CFNA in terminals & Sets, Capibilities.
