I have a customer with a Compact ICS 4.0 and the port the fax was on (after an apparent lightning storm went by or stopped in!) seems to dial a number by itself when the port goes off hook. Should I try (not sure I can set this on the analog port) to turn off the hotline feature? Any other ideas on what might have happened would help out.
Thanks.

Please complete your complete profile, so we know who we're dealing with.
For example: "USA" as a location is not close enough.
For your answer, it would depend how you want the IATA to work; with or without a line pool, and whether they are willing to dial "9" for example to get an outside line B/4 they dial the number.
The only analogue port is the IATA. The rest are all digital.
Edited for spelling...

I believe I did a hotline program on an ATA years ago and had to dial a "pause" first.

Have you tried disconnecting the fax to see if it still dials out when it goes off hook? Maybe since there was no DT on the line the fax is trying to redial a number
