I have a customer who has 3 locations all using BCM400's rel 3.7. Each one is plugged into the betwork at their respective location however they are not using 4-digit dialing between sites. The administrator wants to be able to access all 3 sites from his pc at the main site. He can get into the BCM at his location but can not access the remote sites. How do we make this work for him?

You neeed to have the sites networked together using a point to point T-1 or a VPN setup. He needs to have his IT guy set it up.

It will have to be a VPN set up. Will I need to do anything with the IP addresses in the BCM's?

No you are using DHCP in each of your BCM to set up IP phones on all sites. Then you are using VPN programmed to recognized each side and open upropriate ports in their Routers. Create a Routing for remote locations dialing.

Sounds like your missing the network Gateway configuration on the BCM's.
Log into Unified Manager Configuration.
Go to Services>Net Link Manager.
Select the tab to the far right.
You need to configure this with the router IP address for the subnet the BCM resides in.

The customer gave me the incorrect IP addresses for the Gateways at each site. He gave me the correct ones and now everything works fine. Thanks for your help everyone.
