Beste Grüßen,

Ok, so I have the AA set for 9 rings during the day before it picks up per customer instructions but they want all phones to ring 4 times before the AA comes on at night.

As far as I can see if I put the DN for VM in the night group it will immediately answer?

Any quick solutions for 9 rings AA day and 4 rings AA night?

Thanks!

Bügel

9 in the day????

I would have hung up long before 9 rings...

For the phones to ring at night, they MUST also ring during the day..

Whay not split the difference & make them ring 5 or 6 six times period before AA kicks in?

Thanks MT,

This came up because the boss gets AA during the day and is upset about it. 9 rings is a just in case because they always want a live body to answer but have autoattendant just in case during the day. The only phone that rings during the day is 221.

At night, all phones ring in the night ring group but I don't know how to set the AA to pick up on 4 rings at night.

Thannks!

6 rings and 2 rings, it doesn't really matter I can adjust it from there (individual DN Fwd No Ans, etc).

As soon as you hit a Night button AA will pick up on first ring. The only way to avoid that not to assign VM main port as a point of ring for the Ringing group. But in this case the VM will pick up on 9th ring.

Ok Bügeleißen:

This is just a wild way to get this to work......

Depends on how many copper lines you have in the hunt.
Let's say you have 10 lines in the hunt. Set up 1-4 to answer AA in 9 rings.
Then for the night time - you would have to have call forward service through TELCO - then at night have your main number call forwarded to line 5. You would still have lines 5-10 in the hunt. They would be answered by a different AA that would answer in 4 rings.

Daytime-Remove the forward and then hope that the boss only calls when less than 4 people are on the first 4 lines. wink
Because that 5th person on will get answered in 4 rings. Oops.

Other than that - good luck. Don't think you can do it.

Thanks NTlayoff,

I've rated you 5-stars! I love that weird, whacky out-of-the-box stuff!

You got my brain cranking... I was thinking of puting in a ghost member in the night ring group that no answer fowards early to bluh?

when I read post, the first thing I thought, Mooretel said, NO ONE is staying on for 9 rings, i hang up after 5 , you have days and times on system and you can set these to answer at different times on different settings, if you dont know how to do this, hire a trained tech

Bügeleißen: Thanks for the vote. Yes, Sometimes you have to think outside the box. Good luck with your fix.

Sorry BizTel - YOU don't know how to do this. You can't set different # rings before answer just with times and days.

Jim, (NTLayoff) is correct. Times & days is only for selecting which company greeting to play.
