I almost sure the CP is on the latest release, PRI for incoming and here is the problem: Callers will press someones extension and get someone else's extension. I have had this issue with a Flash and did a REINSTALL to fix the problem. It's not just one extension having the problem. Any Ideas?

Try a reboot. Failing that, try changing the P/S, before doing a re-install on the CP.

I think there is a patch that deals with touch-tone problems on certain versions and trunks. If I remember correctly the CP would see a single digit press as double digits (221 would become 2221 and the caller would be transferred to ext. 222)

Just a thought...

This was a well known problem a few years back with earlier releases and analog connectivity. There was a "DSP" patch, but as i stated nortel claimed the issue only occurred with analog trunks. I had this happen to me with a DTI interface and i eventually replaced the unit, the DSP patch did not resolve the problem.

Update to issue - I upgraded to the latest version (31.10.23.22) and customer is still having the same problem. Now, they are also saying, the caller will sometimes hear "you have entered an invalid extension". They have also heard the "invalid extension" if they hit zero. All the mailbox's have the correct extension in them. Help.

Update to my update - Installed new CP150 and still the same problem. Could it be the PRI?

Sounds like bad DTMF receivers. Have you tried installing the CP on a different ports? Is the CP on the main cabinet? It has been known to have issues if you try to install a CP on an expansion module.

I have the same problems with customer that using PRI and NAM. But problems seems to me comes from destination that using Dynamic T1 or cell phones. Not all of them but some providers.
About dialing 0 and have "Invalid extension". Is it coming from Main Greeting or MB? if it from Greeting then check out operator assignment in Table, F982 and Access code for Direct dial in System Programming. If its coming from MB look for Alt. ext set up.
