We have a client with a CICS system and one user can not transfer to voicemail for any other person on the system.

For example, if I make a call to the office and that person answers, she will press the transfer to VMail button we have programmed OR just hit Feature 986 and the display flashes and never gives the MBOX prompt to enter a mailbox number.

I have verified that it is only her extension that has the problem. I initially swapped her out with another phone to see if that would clear it up and it does not.

Any ideas?

Yes you need an available intercom path for F986 to work.

Marv, would you need two IC buttons if the phones were 'square', line/button? John C.

No.
This is why specifically wrote "available intercom path". Only if you are talking on an intercom path do you need a 2nd one to do the transfer.
