I put a BCM 200 4.0 in Jan. of 2007 with one Norstar Doorphone (FD version). The doorphone worked for 1 1/2 years with no problems. It started working only 20% of the time. I replaced the doorphone and the new one worked for about a month before it started doing the same thing. I replaced the second doorphone and the third one started doing the same thing in a week. The only patch that is in the system is a cumulative patch dated 1/19/07. The funny thing is it originally worked for 1 1/2 years. Anybody have any ideas. Oh yeah, I also replaced the cable to the doorphone as well.

I used to have access to Nortel to get patches but lost that about a year ago. If someone thinks it just needs patching, maybe I could pay someone for the patches or for someone to patch it themselves. Just a thought.

Thank you, Dan :bang:

Thanks for the reply sentrex. I tried a different port with the same result. It doesn't have a power supply as it is just a digital port only 30 feet from the BCM.

I ended up just putting a 7100 phone there with a hot dial on it.

Can you explain what actually it does after you push the button on the Door Phone? Are you connected via a jack to the system or straight to 66 block? Did you check out set up by dialing 9*4?
How that extension set up? How many ICMs? What is a Prime key? Is the Hands Free on? Is the page Zone the same as every Ext's Zone? Please provide more info.

Make sure the door phone services are started. It will probably needs to be restarted. Also needs to be patched.

As stated in my first post, this worked for 1 1/2 years before it started failing 75% of the time. When it doesn't work, the button is pressed but does not ring the programmed set.

The customer is happy with the 7100 fix that I provided them. I also found several patches to try if I feel like wasting more time on this.

Thanks for all the responses.
