Hello, I have a MICs with a PRI. When our hunt group gets a call we can see the caller id, but when someone dials to a direct line we don't see the caller id.

is there a way to have both?

I'm a newbie =) thanks

We will need a lot more details, as in software and line setup, can only speculate at this point.

If you program a DID line as a public line to ring at multiple extensions, if your software is old, you can assign CLID on one extension only.

Could be minor programming in your sets caller ID permission in regard to their assigned DID line.

By the way, don't know why you are using HG on incoming calls, you would be way better off with a call center in terms of flexibility. Remember, you can't have a line ringing on a HG and have a HG member have that same line on "Appearance" on his phone

I went into System Version and got this... SP: 30BHG02 NAT

The previous installer setup the company I'm working for.. They are set up to get incoming calls on a Hunt Group.

What would you need to know on line setup? I don't know what you mean.

Each Direct Line(Target Line) has it's own set up for CID.

You later state that lines are set up to ring on HG; how can you dial a target line on a set if it's set up to ring on a HG?

That's the part I don't get... Is there like a receptionist that transfers the call to your HG?

If that's the case, your receptionist would get CID only when she picks up; if that person wants to see the name or number before picking up and doesn't, then the target line's configuration needs to be set up on the ringing set(s) for that line.

Since it's a 6.1 sw, CID on multiple sets isn't an issue

Nope company doesn't have a receptionist.

We give out the Hunt Group number to our branches so that all the phones ring (2 people working in the building). Other sites are Central Office sites but the techs don't know anything about the phone system.

-All phones are in the Hunt Group
-Each phones has its own DID

-Techs give out their direct line for personal calls but they can't tell who is calling.

How can I get Callier ID on Hunt Group and direct line dialling?

When I dial a direct number, the triangle on the button shows up but it doesn't display the number.

DID a must to ring on the phone. For caller ID make sure your Trunk card is CI instead of DS and Ext. programming for Telco Features is complete.

Make sure in telco features that the target line has caller ID set to yes. This a per phone feature.

Thanks for the help everyone... I've figured it out. Its in the Lines>Trunk/Line Data>CLID set:

CLID set was set to none... now I get CLID in the Hunt Group and direct line...

Thanks
