Hi. I'm having trouble getting a PRI up on a MICS with 6.1 software.Have services card in slot 1, 2port fiber in 2, co line in 3 and dti in 4. PRI is enabled, coding and framing are set but top led on dti is lit(receive error I think) Telco says the circuit shows no loop from card but get a loop when I loopback pins 1 to 4 and 2 to 5. I am using a straight through cable from the smart jack. The order from Telco (Verizon) says ISDN type NT1 and PBX has NT2 but their tech said that doesn't matter, just means a 5 ess office. I disabled and re enabled card. Have run out of ideas. The Nortel tech who was supposed to help doesn't know much more than me Need a tech in Buffalo NY or even a phone call might help. Getting desperate. Still thinking maybe a Telco problem though. Thanks.

It should be NI2,8BZS,ESF. Check the settings with Telco. Disable the card to make changes, then re-enable. You may PM or email one of the Moderators for off board assistance. There may or may not be a small fee for this service.
Being that what you have asked for is installer information, this is as much information that can be offered to you in the public forum. If you have installers permissions you may post your question there.

Easy and quick would be to do a search (at the top of the page) for PRI.
Most everything that has ever been to do with a PRI would be there.
Remember your DTi card goes in the right most slot off the two and the services card goes in the rightmost slot of that size.
You didn't mention that you had bought PRI enabler codes, you did do that didn't you?

Wouldn't a combo card be needed, if so does Nortel make a 2 port fiber combo?

He has a services card to provide the clocking. Nope, they don't make a 2 port combo, 6 port only.

Your 2 port Expansion better be changed to 6 port COMBO card and don't use Service cartridge. You have to make sure that in Hardware you set card 1 as a PRI but not a card 2. Make sure you set up as Rich said to PRI, N2, B8ZS,ESF.Set up your Clock for Primary and turn Off CSU.
