I've a Nortel-PLUS Modular ICS w/6.1 Software and StarTalk Flash w/2.0.1 Software. This system was in a clients office and working superbly. The customer had to move. I was not there, I was out of town. I went to install it in their house thinking it was going to be simple. Problem is that It will not ring the incoming lines though the lines are assigned to each extension and when Now, if you dial any of the incoming lines and press the line button you can talk but the lines are not ringing or display when they ring. I did a "STARTUP" the startup configuration for the system config will only give/display two (2) system configurations: PBX and DID. It should give me "Square" also but does not. One more thing it will not do. When I go into the configuration under answer "DN'S", it does not show extension 221 but it does show it everywhere else.
Does anyone have a clue as to what may be causing this?

I always use PBX mode. If no Square maybe a glitch.
When you go to Answer DN's it should say None Assigned for all of them.
Try another Startup in PBX mode. Make sure all Line Cards etc are in the KSU all the way in.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I did all that a number of times. And still the same thing. I tried putting a line directly to the block and get the same thing also.

Maybe they removed software when system was up and running? that would cause corruption.

Sounds to me like a software corruption. Do another Startup., if it's the same put in new S/W.

Throw slippers if you have to throw something, bunny slippers are preferred but just no high heels.

Try not to mess with the caps, this will weaken their lifespan. Best way is to try to downgrade it.
