I'm trying to get DIDs to work on a PRI. Telco ported old copper line numbers to PRI and they ring in but when I call the DID numbers I get a recording saying the lines are disconnected. If my programming is wrong would the system cause a Telco recording? I have red'd length 4, as is supposedly being sent, target lines are set up to ring individual sets with received digits matching my DID's, and I tried setting lines as private to the sets. The ported lines ring in regardless of my target line settings even though Telco says they are ported to the first DID number, which I deleted. My DN's are set at 3 digits. I set the initial setup as DID in startup. Outgoing calls are ok. Am I missing any programming?

To your first question, YES. If you don't have the DID properly programmed, you may hear a telco recording like: "Number no longer in service" or "This number is disconnected".
You need to make SURE that the number of digits being sent MATCH the number of digits you have programmed to receive. So in your TARGET lines, you do not have to make them PRIVATE, Public will work ok. Make sure you have your rec digits prog. Make your prime set the same as the ext it is going to. IF BUSY, set to PRIME. Then make sure that ext has that target number set to ring on that phone.
If CON is the opposite of PRO Then what is the opposite of Progress?

In my understanding all your POTS are OK. They ring in over PRI fine but any of your DID range isn't, am I correct? If its so then those DID are not active from provider. Let them try to dial any of your DID from the switch. Make sure your DID numbers are correct. Make sure you didn't do any mistake by putting 2343 instead of 3243 for example. I never set system as a DID at start up and can't tell you what is the difference.
