I know this has been kicked around before but I have to ask.
This is on a BCM 50 latest release and current patches
I have a CCR tree option that directes callers to a hunt group.
The hunt group appears on 3 sales extensions.
I tried Overflow to the voicemail extension (in this case it has been changed to 777) and set up a mailbox for the hunt group extension number . Made the 3 extensions as alternates of the mailbox for the hunt group extension.
It will not go to the mailbox if no one answers.
I had to overflow the hunt group to an analog extension (ie 235) knocked the overflow timer back to 15 and permanently forwarded the extension to voicemail with a mailbox for that analog extension.
i know I seen it discussed with CICS and MICS, but not a BCM. it's like it needs to see an analog port or actual set.
Any ideas as to why I have to use the MITEL way to make it work?????? Don't want to have to burn up an analog port if I don't have to.

Did you initialize the Hunt Group Mail Box?

For hunt groups to work correctly, the lines in the HG can not appear on the phones in HG.

I don't remember exactly but think there is no Overflow for NA. Its Overflow only on Busy.

It working on both no answer and busy
There are no line appearances as the Auto Attendant and CCR tree directs all calls to the departments

vad60: FNA and FWD/BUSY have nothing to do with hunt groups. The overflow is programmed in the hunt group area and will overflow on "Time".

I know NT.
If you read my reply I haven't said FNA/FB. I said NA cause in Hunt group only 3 choices: Busy, Queue or Overflow. If you use CC set up then you nave time to Overflow for NA. For Hunt group only have 2 choices for Overflow: Busy and Queue time. But hunt group doesn't Overflow on RNA condition. And one more thing. Member of the Hunt group can't be an Overflow MB.

In Programming specifically pointed that if Overflow set is a member of Hunt group the call is " treated as new call and goes to the bottom of the queue" Page 426 of 700 for 7.0 MICS.
