I'm not a Nortel tech so go easy. I know the line buttons are done via appearance on system admin but can't seem to get where I need to be to add a line 3 & 4 button to a phone I connected for our customer.

First, do a feature * 0 (button inquiry) on that phone, and press the intercom key. That will tell you what extension number it is. Then go into programming and go to terminals & sets --> enter the extension number --> go to line access --> line assignment, and there you should be able to set lines 3 and 4 to however you would like (ie. appear & ring, appear only, ring only, etc.).

After entering the default password, I don't see the admin menu. Is there a "save" or "enter" key that I need to use after the password?

The 1st thing you will see is "Configuration".

If that's not what you see, then you're not in the "Installer" section of programming where you need to be.

By the way that is a NOT a CICS, it's a "Compact" 6x16 KSU.

I'm getting stuck at the password prompt even after following the manual. Not sure if I'm not entering properly or if the password has been changed.
