I know that some companies produce a door phone that can accomplish external forward however they do not work work well with a phone system, they need their own line and be indepedant.
Since you have a CICS and Nortel doorphone then you would need 4.1 or higher release in software to allow external forward.
I am sure you can get 4.1 cheap vs 7.1 the latest.
