This is usually one of 2 things. The power supply which will show a bulging capacitor (s) at the top right side of it or yes the system is corrupted.
Do you know the software level, because corruption was a known problem and an upgrade to 4.93 was required to prevent this from happening.

The capacitors on the power supply are not bulging and just for good measure, I replaced the power supply but still will not boot. I also tested the power supply on a voltmeter and everything is normal.
System is from 2006 so I don't think it has the 4.93 or above firmware? I even replaced the MCP with a used one and it still has the same problem. Maybe because the software on the replaced MCP was corrupted too with the same problem.
Do you think I could get a copy of that 4.93 firmware to get the system up and running?
