I have an analog extension that shows "Idle" when you check the status but it gives a busy indication when you call it.
I can monitor the extension and know for a fact it's not in use.

I can make outgoing calls all day long. The correct number shows up on caller id when I call the operator or a digital set.

The number has been removed from the system and reinstalled on another terminal number. (At the moment I do not know if it was reinstalled on a different card)

The number can be assigned to a digital telephone and works perfectly for incoming and outgoing calls.

What kind of facility is this in Bobby? If it is a hospital make sure they have not turned on DND from the console. If not that..

LD 80

TRAC 0 XXXX DEV and call the extension from another set.

(with XXXX being the extension number). That should tell what is going on.

Thanks Dave. I'll visit with the system administrator again Monday. This is one of these "by-the-way, while you're here" troubles.

Update: I was back on site last week and the administrator told me the operator had blocked the station from receiving all calls for some reason.

Was probably an old room extension or mistaken for one. Consoles could manually block incoming calls to prevent late night patient disturbances. You can block individual extensions or an entire group. Thanks for the update Bobby. :thumb:
