HI! I am trying to connect to Call Pilot 100 SW.Version 2.0,I need to change IP address , I have serial cable with the 3 pins config to manual guide. I set the com port parameters to specs. When i power on hyper terminal and start the C.Pilot it shows X's across the screen ?? Anybody no whats wrong . :confused: Thanks

Try Emulation TTY or VT100 in Hyperterminal/File/Properties/Settings

If memory serves correct, serial port is only active during boot up.
You need to press ... (can't remember what key) within 3 seconds of power up to access menus.

Thanks Guys i will try TTY have tried VT100, CONXTEL: I thought it was suppose to prompt you with (M)modify (Y/N) etc?? Thanks Brett

Yes it prompts during boot up.

garbled display is a baud rate mismatch.

Emulations is not a factor.

OKay i got it working eek real PITA, changed ip address and gateway ip. ,i really don't know why it didn't work the first time ?? Thanks :rofl:
