Hi,

I was wondering what the maximum line distance a phone can be from it's KSU. I have a Executone 616. I'm trying to connect two offices that are about 100 yards apart. Do I need a repeater/opx of some sort or am I ok?

thanks
Doug

Doug, every Mfg. has their own Specs.
I'm sure it's different for digital and analog but 100 yards (or 300Ft.) isn't anything and any system should be able to handle that. Most can go at least a 1000 Ft.
Are you running this outdoors? If so,
underground or aerial? It is a good idea to put some kind of protection on the cable if
your going outside the plant or office.
Panamax and ITW both make a decent product
Hope this Info. is helpful.
P.S. I'm in Elmhurst if you need help

Thanks for the info. Yes, I will be running the cabling outside between two buildings. The distance is probably closer to 200 yds now that I think about it.

thanks,
Doug

I think you'll be fine. I would test it first. Just run a 2 or 3 pair cable the same distance and pluge a phone in it. Thats the easiest way to tell.

The distance on a Exeutone 616 is 1500 feet, past that point you will loose data.
hope this helps
