Here is my set up.
MICS 2 x PRI 2 x 0x16 Flash Voice Mail. All extensions have mailboxes, all are cfna and cfb. Calls ring in to main operator. Then are transfered to required extensions. I intend to set up a hunt group for 16 stations. So they can be monitored. What are any draw backs should I be mindful of?
Losing call forward no answer to the extensions mailbox?

Waine, The plan is to have a supervisor monitor the hunt group calls?
What is your software level? If I recall you need 6.1 or higher for monitoring the HG.
You are going to setup a broadcast HG. HGs do not follow CF rules of the DN they appear on. The target lines being transferred can not appear on the group member phones. You should also assign the target lines to the HG so that recall timer and prime settings are ignored while the call is in the HG.
You need to decide on how to handle calls if the HG goes unanswered; recycle to the HG, overflow to a DN or another HG or to a mailbox.

You will also need to give supervisor access to any DN you want as monitor.

Software is not 6.1 as a matter of fact I thinks it is much older, I will have to check so I guess this is mute anyway. The HG will have to loop back to itself and would be set to broadcast they must answer during the day. The stations have no line keys currently so that wont be an issue.
I guess I will have to do this with external hardware or a software upgrade (not wanting to deal with that because of the pri's). I was just looking for a quick way to monitor stations if needed from time to time.
Thanks for the fast response Bud. :thumb:
