Hello,
I have an 824 with DR5 and a Flash voicemail.
Can an 824 do hunt groups? The want an option off the CCR tree to ring a group and I don't see it there in programming. They do have 3-digit extensions.
Also, is there setting for maximum recording time per message on the flash mail? Service class?
Thanks!

Point what ever path to a extension say 223, program any extension you want for answer DN 223.

Right, ans dn's were the ancestor of hunt groups. Hunt groups are not available for the 824.
For the flash vm, I think the max record time was on COS 5, but I'll have to dig up a manual to verify. With a flash vm, you won't be able to cange COS's. You'll need a NAM, or Call Pilot.

Thanks, So we could send the call to 230 (phone doesn't exist) and set extensions 221, 222, 225, 229 & 231 to have an answer DN key for 230. That's pretty smart. However, if the call is not answered is it possible to put it into the mailbox of say, extension 225?

Not if VM 225 is already set for ext 225. In any event, you should always match the VM # with extension #. You can set up a "Guest MB" on 230, though.

To connect a laptop PC to the FlashTalk's serial port, a modem cable is required
Connecting a laptop PC (DTE with a 9-pin male) to a FlashTalk (DCE with a 25-pin female) requires a modem (9-pin female to 25-pin male) cable because it is a DTE/DCE connection. This cable will have a twist between pins 2 and 3.
Connecting a serial monitor (DTE with 25-pin male) to a FlashTalk (DCE with 25-pin female) requires a modem (25-pin female to 25-pin male) cable because it is a DTE/DCE connection. This cable will NOT have a twist between pins 2 and 3.

That's pretty smart. However, if the call is not answered is it possible to put it into the mailbox of say, extension 225 or any predetermined individual box?
