Dumb question
What is the maximum number of IP KEMS that can be attached to an I2004 set on a BCM 450
3 work fine but number 4 messes it all up

From what I read only 2 are supported by Nortel

It may work but not supported, just like 4 PRI's will work on a MICS.

Found documentation on Nortel site that says it can have up to 4 Kems
Can't make it work with 4. Now I'm really confused!!!

This is from the Partner site, looks like 48 buttons if you switch to page 2 on the module:

Found that as well
But on the nortel site it says
"Up to four IP Phone KEM's can be attached to an IP Phone 2002 oe IP Phone 2004. With 4 IP KEMs attached, the IP Phone can have up to 96 programmable keys"
Another colleague out of Calgary found documentation that says 5 can be attached for a maximum of 20 on a system.
There is no documentation to suggest how to make it work thoufg.
Too much for a Monday!!!!

There is an issue...
SYMPTOMS: The first KEM should function without issue, but subsequent KEMs may experience connection issues.
WORKAROUND: None
STATUS: Update BCM450.R100.UTPS-31 is Generally Available for download. BCM50 R3 and BCM 4.0 versions of this up-issue IP set firmware will be available as Beta shortly.
It more or less confirms that more than 2 is supported.
