Does anyone out there know what the config file name was for the 1p2002 and the ip2004. have tried naming them i2002.config and i2004.config but they wont accept. these phones are the earlier ones circa 2005/6.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Normally, network configuration can be done at the IP set by pressing the soft keys soon after the phone boots up and when you see the Nortel logo popping up.

Once you have set the required parameters the phone downloads the firmware from the call server IP which is specified.

To understand better I would like to know how you were able to change the config file name for the i2004 set, also what type of call server/pbx you are using?
